Alimodian, Iloilo — A special rosary gifted by Pope Francis is now on display at the side altar of the Parish of Saint Thomas of Villanova in Alimodian.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, altar server Mark Rhian Caigoy shared that the rosary came from a resident of the town who had written directly to the Vatican. The man requested prayers from Pope Francis for his mother, who is suffering from spine cancer.

According to Caigoy, after receiving the heartfelt letter, the Holy Father responded by sending a letter along with six rosaries. One of these was donated to the local church, where it is now available for the public to see and reflect upon.

The gesture has brought inspiration and a deep sense of spiritual connection to the local faithful, who view the rosary not only as a symbol of hope but also as a tangible sign of the Pope’s compassion.
