Tehran, Iran – Iran has firmly declared it will not engage in new nuclear negotiations while attacks on its territory continue, asserting a strong stance against what it calls violations of international law.
The announcement comes shortly after Israeli Defense Minister warned of a prolonged conflict with the Islamic Republic, further heightening tensions in the region.
Prior to this, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi attended a meeting with European diplomats in Geneva, where he appealed for renewed diplomatic efforts with the United States concerning Iran’s nuclear program.
An Iranian official reiterated that while Tehran remains open to diplomacy, it will only consider dialogue if Israel ceases its aggressive actions. The official also emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes.
“The Israeli attacks are a breach of international law,” the Iranian official stated, calling for the international community to intervene.
According to a recent report by a human rights group in Iran, the ongoing exchange of attacks between the two countries has resulted in at least 639 fatalities, underscoring the urgent need for de-escalation and humanitarian attention.
