𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 -A high-value target was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 2, Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The arrested individual, identified only as alias “Soksok,” is a resident of the area.
According to Police Captain Ryan Christ Inot, head of the Iloilo City Drug Enforcement Unit, they received intelligence about a high volume of customers regularly visiting the suspect’s house. In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Inot shared that the suspect’s residence is located near the home of a Barangay Kagawad (village councilor).
Authorities monitored the area for two weeks before carrying out the operation and successfully arresting the suspect.
During the operation, officers seized 50 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) valued at more than P300,000.
The suspect had a previous record, having been arrested in 2018 for violating Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This year, the suspect was arrested again for similar drug-related offenses.
The operation underscores the city’s commitment to combating the illegal drug trade and ensuring public safety.
