Officials of the Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association (WVRAA) Meet 2025, currently being held in Antique, are investigating an on-field commotion during the elementary boys’ football match.
The match was between Iloilo and Negros.
Based on a circulating video, tensions escalated when two players, initially contesting for the ball, suddenly engaged in a physical altercation. Other players quickly intervened to break up the scuffle and prevent further escalation.
In the said match, Iloilo won against Negros with a score of 2-0.
The video shows the Negros team wearing white football uniforms, while Iloilo players were in orange.
WVRAA organizers are expected to release an official statement regarding the incident and the possible penalties for those involved.
