𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 – Engr. Ray Adrian Macalalag, a proud Ilonggo from Iloilo City Proper, has successfully completed his Master’s degree in Transport at the University of Sydney in Australia, bringing pride to his hometown.

Macalalag, who graduated from the University of San Agustin for both elementary and college and from the University of the Philippines for secondary school, is currently employed as the Senior Economic Development Specialist at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office VI in Iloilo City. He also serves as the focal person for transport and infrastructure sector policy and planning.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Macalalag expressed his immense joy and gratitude after being given the opportunity to study at one of the world’s leading universities. “The happiness I feel is beyond words,” Macalalag shared, reflecting on the privilege of pursuing a Master of Transport at the University of Sydney.

Macalalag is the sole representative of the Philippines for the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship. He extended his heartfelt thanks to his family, colleagues, and friends who have supported him along the way and believed in his abilities.

His achievement serves as an inspiring example for others aspiring to reach greater heights, proving that with hard work, dedication, and a strong support system, dreams can indeed be realized. Upon his return to the Philippines, Macalalag plans to continue contributing to the country’s development, particularly in the field of transport and infrastructure.
