Nagapangabay ang House prosecution panel sa Senate Impeachment Court nga i-aplikar man kay Vice President Sara Duterte ang sub judice rule.
Ang sub judice rule amo ang patakaran nga nagadumili sa mga partido sa kaso sa paghimo sang mga pampubliko nga komento nga mahimo makaapekto ukon makaimpluwensya sa dalagan sang kaso kag sa mga isyu nga ginadesisyonan sang korte.
Ang ginatumod sang prosekusyon nga statement sang vice president amo ang akusasyon sini kay President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nga “nagakontrol” sa Senado.
“The Vice President said the President controls the Senate, judges and the prosecutors. For me this is a clear violation of sub judice rule because it was an attack against the integrity of the court,” suno kay House Private Prosecutor Benjamin Tolosa Jr.
Ginpahayag ini ni Tolosa kaupod si Atty. Lorna Kapunan matapos magsiling ang spokesperson sang impeachment court nga si Atty. Regie Tongol nga agud nga makahimo sang tikang ang impeachment court, dapat nga ipasaka anay sang interesado nga partido sa korte ang reklamo.
Matandaan nga Setyembre 7 sang ginbuy-an ni Duterte ang akusasyon, bisan pa nga sang Agosto 26 nagmando na ang impeachment court nga istrikto nga tumanon sang tanan nga partido ang sub judice rule ukon mag-atubang sang sanctions, lakip ang multa.
Ginkwestyon man ni Tolosa kon ngaa kinahanglan pa nga may interesado nga partido nga magdala sang isyu sa korte, bangod ang statement sang Vice President gin-post man sa opisyal nga website sang iya opisina.
“Unfortunately, when asked about it, the spokesperson of the court said there should be an interested party to bring it before the court. He even said that the Vice President’s statements cannot be verified, but it was on the official website of the Office of the Vice President. It is clear that the statement came from the Vice President. What we are only appealing for her is equal application of the rules,” dugang ni Tolosa.
Samtang, nag-ugyon si Kapunan nga dapat patas nga i-aplikar ang sub judice rule sa tanan nga partido nga sakop sang impeachment case. Suno sa iya, wala sang dapat nga makaluwas diri, lakip na ang Vice President.
“When he (Senate impeachment court presiding officer Francis Escudero) says it applies to all, hindi naman except the Vice President. Wala naman exception,” pahayag ni Atty. Kapunan.#
