“Events like demise of a spouse, retirement from work and onset of related illnesses may put older persons through brief periods of distress. External support or help may be needed by some to bring relief and expedite adjustment,” suno sa kongresista.
Lakip sa ginaduso para sa pasilidad amo ang social services kaangay sang arts and crafts, games, story-telling, field trips, kag outings.
Ang pondo naman ang mahimo kuhaon sa alokasyon sang local government units (LGUs). Mahimo man makabaton sang donations, sandig gihapon sa nakabutang sa hagna.

Kulang suno sa mamalidha ang housing facilities sang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) para sa “abandoned, neglected and homeless senior citizens”.
“Community-based day care centers can serve as daytime venues for senior citizens living at home, but in need of recreational, educational, health, and/or other socio-cultural programs and services,” dugang sini.
Sa idalom sang HB 10362, ginlaragway man ang senior citizens day care centers bilang “center-based facilities directly managed by the barangay that provide daytime services to senior citizens on a regular basis for fewer than 24 hours in a nonresidential setting.”
Nahibaluan nga as of May 25, 2023, may yara lamang sang ginabanta 50 ka private residential care social welfare and development agencies para sa mga tigulang nga may valid registration, license to operate, kag accreditation certificates nga gin-isyu sang DSWD.#
