Gin-anunsyo ni Commissioner Willie Marcial nga dulaon na ang height restrictions sa masunod nga season sang Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup.

Suno pa kay Marcial, aprubado na sang board of governors ini nga pagbag-o kadungan sang meeting sang Martes.

“The board has approved my proposal to have unlimited height [for imports] in the Commissioner’s Cup, in the second conference,” pahayag sini antes ang Game 1 sang Philippine Cup Finals. “We did this so the Philippine Cup will coincide with our anniversary.”

Antes sini, matandaan nga nag-implementar ang PBA sang 6-foot-9 height limit para sa imports sa Commissioner’s Cup.

Matandaan nga ang anay NBA star nga si Dwight Howard ang naglahog anay sa liga nga i-konsiderar liwat ang pagsulundan bangud gusto man sini nga makasulod sa PBA nga amo ang oldest professional basketball league sa Asya.

May posibilidad naman nga makakuha sang duha ka imports sa kada team bangud nga nga naga-istorya na ang PBA sa foreign team nga posible mangin guest team para sa Commissioner’s Cup.

“We are already talking to a possible guest team in the second conference. Let’s see. We aare still talking, and we are still talking about schedules, logistics and players and there are no concrete decisions yet. But, we’re looking at a possible guest team,” suno pa sa executive.

Dugang sini, “There is the proposal to have two imports. But that still depends if the guest team joins us, maybe we can have two imports. As of now, [the board] is open to having two imports. That is sure if the guest team will join.”

Sa season-opening PBA Governors’ Cup naman, magapabilin ang pagsulundan nga may 6-foot-6 height limit.
