Aprubado na ni Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. ang importasyon sang 25,000 metric tons (MT) sang frozen fish kag aquatic products.
Sa Memorandum Order 51, ginsiling sang tiglikom nga ang 24,000 MT amo ang salmon, squid, tuna, black-cod, gindara, halibut sardines kag red snapper. Ang nabilin naman nga 1,000 MT amo ang para sa small pelagic fishes nga igabaligya sa idalom sang Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) program.
Ginplastar sang tiglikom nga pagpaniguro ini nga steady ang suplay sang barato nga isda kag kaangay nga mga produkto.
“In order to ensure the steady supply of affordable fish and fishery/aquatic products for a food-secure country, taking into consideration public welfare and to support the implementation of KNP, a total volume of 1,000 MT shall be allocated for distribution to the Kadiwa Centers,” suno kay Tiu Laurel.

“The NFARMC issued Resolution 35 approving and recommending the issuance of a special CNI 25,000 MT of salmon (whole), species of squid that will not compete with local production, tuna (by-products only), black-cod (whole), gindara (whole), and halibut (whole) for the months of September to December 2024,” dugang sang tiglikom.
Kuwalipikado nga maka-import ang mga indibidwal, corporations, partnerships, registered fisheries associations ukon cooperatives nga may active accreditation bilang importers sang food fish sa idalom sang Fisheries Administrative Order 195 ukon rehistrado sa idalom sang FAO 259.
Ang kada qualified importer ang mahimo maka-import sang initial volume nga 28 MT.
