A tragic incident took the life of a 3-year-old boy after he choked on a piece of candy.

The incident occurred when the child, accompanied by his father, Christian, went to a local market (tiangge) and bought candy.

According to the boy’s mother, Hazel, she had asked her husband to buy something at the market, and their child joined him.

Shortly after the boy ate the candy, he began choking and gasping for air.

The father immediately tried to help by turning the boy upside down and applying abdominal thrusts in an effort to dislodge the candy, but these efforts were unsuccessful.

Bystanders also tried to assist, but the boy’s condition deteriorated, and he began to turn blue.

The child was rushed to the hospital, where medical staff inserted a breathing tube and performed resuscitation efforts.

Despite these attempts, the boy tragically passed away.
