Magahatag ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sang temporary shelter kag comprehensive assistance sa 13 ka mga Pinay nga napreso anay sa Cambodia matapos na-convict sa krimen nga human trafficking.
Suno kay DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, ginmanduan na sini ang National Capital Region (NCR) field office nga magpalab-ot sang suporta sa Pinay surrogates sa idalom sang Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons.
Ginlaragway man sang ahensya ang 13 surrogate mothers bilang mga “biktima” sang trafficking.
“As the Co-Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), the DSWD recognizes the 13 surrogate mothers as victims of trafficking. They will be given all necessary assistance, including transportation and temporary shelter at one of the Department’s centers and residential care facilities (CRCFs),” suno kay Gatchalian.

“The respective families of the surrogate mothers will also undergo an assessment to determine the services and interventions needed,” suno sa statement sang DSWD. “Transportation assistance to their home cities or provinces will be provided, along with counseling services and other necessary interventions during their stay at the CRCF.”
