MAASIN, ILOILO– A 40-year-old man sustained injuries after being attacked by his own younger brother in Sitio Duyan-duyan, Barangay Dagami, Maasin, Iloilo.
According to the Maasin Municipal Police Station, the siblings were drinking together with another companion at the younger brother’s house when the older sibling suddenly punched the younger one.
In response, the younger brother went inside his house, grabbed a bolo, and attacked his older sibling.
Initial investigations revealed that the incident was a result of a sudden altercation, as the two reportedly had a good relationship prior to the incident.
The younger sibling is now in police custody, while the older brother is being treated at the hospital for multiple injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover more details and ensure justice for those involved in the incident.
