𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – A senior citizen was confirmed dead after a fire broke out in Barangay Rizal Lapuz Sur, Iloilo City.
The victim, identified as 68-year-old Susan Aytona, was trapped inside her house and unable to escape the blaze.
According to Barangay Kagawad Ken Alconga, in an interview with Bombo Radyo, the elderly woman could not make it out of her home in time, which led to her tragic death in the fire.
Aytona’s body was completely burned, leaving only bones and remains. Her skeletal remains were found on a charred folding bed amid the wreckage.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is actively investigating the cause of the fire, as the community mourns the loss of a senior citizen.
