𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 – In a fortunate turn of events, the driver and passengers of a vehicle emerged relatively unscathed after crashing into a post in Barangay Padios, Sara, Iloilo.
The driver was identified as 35-year-old Genesis Lopez from Panit-an, Capiz.
The passengers were Joemar Gutierez, 33, from Bulak Sur, Batad, Iloilo, and Antonio Segullan, 49, from Maliko, Batad, Iloilo.
According to Police Corporal Joven Bajon of the Sara Municipal Police Station, the incident occurred as the driver attempted to overtake a truck. However, due to his high speed, Lopez lost control of the vehicle and veered straight into the post.
The impact was so intense that the post was completely uprooted.
Bajon further shared that the crash caused eggs, which were being transported by the vehicle, to scatter across the road.
Fortunately, the occupants of the vehicle sustained only minor injuries from the accident.
The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
