GUIMARAS – Two dedicated firefighters from Guimaras are set to represent the province in the upcoming Search for Mr. and Ms. Bumbero For Purpose (BFP) 2025, bringing with them a unique advocacy centered on animal fire safety.
FO1 Gindel A. Padalhin, 28, who joined the service in 2021 as part of Class BAGSIK, will be competing as Mr. BFP Guimaras. Meanwhile, FO1 Katrina A. Jardeleza, 25, a member of Class SALAKNIB since 2023, will vie for the title of Ms. BFP Guimaras.
Carrying the advocacy “Voice FUR the Voiceless,” the two candidates aim to raise awareness about pet and animal fire safety, emphasizing the importance of including animals in emergency preparedness and disaster response.
As they prepare for the stage, Padalhin and Jardeleza hope to highlight not only their dedication to fire service but also their commitment to protecting the welfare of animals in times of disaster.
