ILOILO – Authorities have identified a person of interest in the robbery incident involving a livestock businesswoman in Barangay Buray, Oton, Iloilo.
The victim, identified as Alyas Rose, 28, is a resident of the said barangay.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Lieutenant Colonel Abner Jordan, Chief of the Oton Municipal Police Station, stated that three suspects were involved in the crime. Two of them carried out the holdup, while the third served as the getaway vehicle driver.
According to Jordan, only one person of interest has been identified so far, while the identities of the other two suspects remain unknown.
The case has now been forwarded to the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) 6, which is reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to help identify the suspects and the license plate number of their getaway vehicle.
Reports indicate that the victim was approached by two men, who forced her e-bike off the road into a field, struck her head with a hard object, and stole her bag containing ₱410,000 in cash.
