A woman was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 3, Barangay San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City—coinciding with her birthday.
The arrested suspect, known as Alyas Inday, is a 52-year-old high-value individual, married, and a resident of the area.
Authorities confiscated 100 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) with a standard drug price of Php 680,000.00.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Lieutenant Lloyd Pagulayan, deputy chief of police of Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 4, stated that Alyas Inday was previously arrested in 2021 and, after being released, returned to illegal drug activities.
Pagulayan added that the arrest took place on May 19, which is also the suspect’s birthday.
Furthermore, Alyas Inday did not reveal the source of the illegal drugs, but her customers reportedly come to her residence to purchase the drugs.
She is currently in the custody of ICPS 4 and is set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
