Most of us only dream of climbing Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines.
That’s why it’s truly inspiring to hear the story of a 70-year-old grandmother who fulfilled her dream of reaching the summit of the nearly 3,000-meter-above-sea-level mountain.
Her name is Letecia Sobebe from Misamis Occidental.
Upon reaching the peak of Mt. Apo, she even changed out of her hiking gear and wore a pink Filipiniana dress, complete with a pearl necklace.
Mt. Apo is located on the border of Davao and North Cotabato in Mindanao.
Typically, it takes around three days to complete the climb.
