The Manila Police District (MPD) has confirmed that they are awaiting the autopsy results of a 10-year-old boy who died after undergoing a circumcision procedure at a clinic in Tondo, Manila.
According to the MPD, the results of the autopsy will be crucial in determining what charges may be filed against the individual who performed the operation.
Initial investigations revealed that the procedure was carried out not by a licensed physician, but by a midwife who allegedly posed as a doctor.
Shortly after the circumcision, the boy reportedly experienced seizures and was rushed to the hospital, where he was later declared dead on arrival.
Authorities are continuing their investigation as they await the final autopsy findings to guide their next legal steps.
