“These estimates do not mean that sweetened beverages cost each, every individual case. They just show that high consumption makes a measurable and preventable contribution to the country’s disease burden,” suno kay Health Assistant Secretary Lester Tan.

Nagpaandam man ang DOH nga ang masami nga pag-inom sang matam-is nga ilimnon mahimo magresulta sa pagdugang sang bug-at kag metabolic problems nga nagapataas sang risgo sa sakit sa tagipusuon, diabetes, kag pila ka klase sang cancer.

“So, sweetened beverage taxation changes the environment in which our consumers, particularly the young ones, make choices. And therefore, higher relative prices would make highly sweetened beverages less financially attractive, while water and unsweetened beverages would become comparatively more attractive,” dugang sang health official.#
