Wala ginpalampas sa impeachment court ang “side remark” ni Defense Counsel Mark Vinluan sang ginapamangkot sini ang prosecution witness kag National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) regional director nga si Atty. Jeremy Lotoc.
Si Lotoc amo ang nangin pinuno sang Cybercrime Division kag nagpanguna sa imbestigasyon sa pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte nga pananglitan may matabo sa iya, may nakontrata na siya nga tawo agud nga patyon man ang president, ang first lady, kag ang first lady.
Ginakwestyon ni Atty. Vinluan ang kunklusyon ni Lotoc nga may mga elemento sang “grave threats” nga nakomiter si Duterte.
“The evidence is clear, sir,” suno kay Lotoc. Sabat ni Viluan, “According to you.”
Diri na kag napa-“hoy objection” si Prosecution lawyer Atty. Amando Virgil Ligutan nga nagsiling nga indi sini mapalampas ang amo nga klase sang komento halin sa defense.
“Hoy, objection! We cannot let this pass. I move, Your Honor, that the defense counsel, with all due respect, be admonished from stating those unprofessional remarks. We are in front of national TV,” suno sa private prosecutor.
Ginpahanumdom man ni Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero sa duha ka abogado nga likawan ang paghimo sang amo sini nga klase sang komento.
Ginkakas sa record ang statement ni Vinluan.
“This is a reminder for counsel [of] both parties. Kindly avoid side remarks henceforth; the presiding officer will have them stricken off the records, and any question you pose and afterwards withdraw will likewise be stricken off the records, so as to avoid any attempts at showmanship,” suno kay Escudero.
Sa amo man nga proceedings kahapon, ginsaway man si Viluan bangud sa iya komento nga may 80% nga Bar rating si Duterte nga mas mataas suno sa iya sangsa iban nga abogado nga yara sa impeachment court.#
