Passi City, Iloilo – A mother and daughter were injured after their Toyota Fortuner crashed into a post and a wall in Barangay Sablogon, Passi City.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Fire Officer 1 Jeric John Casamayor of the Passi City Fire Station said the victims, a 75-year-old mother and her 34-year-old daughter who was driving the SUV, were trapped inside the vehicle after it overturned.
Responders quickly secured the scene and carefully extricated the victims using a power saw and a high-lift jack.
The mother sustained chest injuries after hitting the seat, while the driver suffered abdominal bruises.
Both were transported to Don Valerio Palmares District Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities from the Passi City Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
