Nagpanawagan si President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sang mas mabaskog nga proteksyon sa mga kabataan batok sa negatibo nga epekto sang social media ilabi na ang paglapta sang fake news, pornograpiya, kapintas kag kultura sang pagdumtanay.
Suno sa presidente, ini nga mga isyu mahimo magdala sang problema sa mental health, pagtaas sang kaso sang teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, kag iban pa nga makahalit nga epekto sa kabataan.
“We must protect them from the harmful influences and forces that exploit their vulnerability: the corrosive influence of fake news; the unfettered exposure to pornography, even to minors; the constant depiction of casual violence; and the toxicity and hate culture pervasive in social media,” suno sa iya.
Nagpanawagan siya sa tanan nga sektor sang komunidad nga magbinuligay sa pagproteher kag paggiya sa mga pamatan-on.
Dugang sini: “We must all assume a community responsibility for our young people’s protection.”
Nagpalab-ot man si Marcos sang simpatiya sa mga pamilya sang nagtaliwan nga mga estudyante kasunod sang shooting sa eskwelahan sa Tacloban sang Hunyo 22. Lunsay Grade 9 students ang suspek sa amo nga insidente.

Iga-deploy man ang una nga batch sang 10,000 school counselor associates sa mga pampubliko nga eskwelahan agud maghatag sang giya kag suporta sa mga estudyante.#
