Apang indi lang marketing kag consumption ang ginatutukan kundi mangin ang production sang local rice.

Katuyuan sini nga ikampanya sa mga mangunguma ang pagamit sang yield-enhancing kag cost-reducing technologies; pagbulig sa mga local government units kag institutions sa

pagbakal sang produkto sang mga mangunguma sa rasonable nga presyo kag pagbakal sang rice-consuming public sa mga rice-consuming public

Bilang kabahin sang selebrasyon, gina-agda sang Department of Agriculture Region 6 nga magpasakop sa RICE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST Year 2:

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least 18 years old, professional and amateur photographers who are based in Western Visayas
  2. DA family (bureaus, attached agencies and corporations) employees

SUBMISSION RULES

  1. The photograph entry shall focus on this year’s celebration theme “Grow Local. Buy Local. Eat Local. #SupportOurRiceFarmers”
    A contestant can submit only one photograph as entry.
  2. Post your photo on Facebook with a title and not more than 100 words photo description/caption. Indicate your name as the photographer, town and province.
  3. Put a hashtag #SupportOurRiceFarmers and mention the official Facebook Page Department of Agriculture Western Visayas.
  4. Set your post’s privacy setting to “Public” so it can be easily monitored by the organizer.
  5. Submit your photo entry in JPEG format (300 dpi resolution) to dawvinfo@gmail.com with the subject “2nd Rice Photo Contest”

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

  1. Should be in digital format, with at least 300 dpi resolutions and in landscape orientation.
  2. Should have no watermark or name of the photographer on the images.
  3. Should be in full color (black and white photo or sepia images will not be accepted).
  4. Must be a single work or original material created and taken solely by the photography contest participant.
  5. The following photographs are disqualified:

-Have undergone post-processing (only cropping is allowed)
-Have already won in other photography contests
-Contains offensive or inappropriate contents

  1. All submitted photographs become the property of the Department and may be used for whatever purpose it may serve.

  • Facebook Reactions – only wow, heart and like will be counted
  • All photos will be posted on DA Western Visayas Facebook Page on November 21. Voting will run until November 22.
  • Winners will be notified on November 23.
  • Top 3 winners will be invited for the awarding program on November 26 in Iloilo City.
  • Don’t forget that the celebration/contest theme focuses on the production (GROW LOCAL), marketing (BUY LOCAL), and consumption (EAT LOCAL). You can depict in

your photo any of the following aspects concerning the local rice industry.

Tips:

☑️ GROW LOCAL – farm production activities (land preparation, planting, harvesting, storing, etc)/use of modern farm machinery, high quality seeds and other inputs

☑️ BUY LOCAL – market set-up/ consumers prefer buying local than the imported rice/NFA palay procurement, etc.

☑️ EAT LOCAL – responsible rice consumers presenting a RICEponsible meal/ different brown rice recipes, etc.

First Place – ₱10,000.00 + one sack of rice
Second Place – ₱7,000.00 + one sack of rice
Third Place –₱5,000.00 + one sack of rice
Provincial Winners (6) – ₱2,500 + one sack of rice each
Consolation Winners (10) – ₱2,000 each
