MANILA – Nagapati ang pila ka mamalidha nga “justified” ang paggasto sang gobyerno sang P20 million para sa ikatatlo nga State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Suno kay ACT CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo, ang dako nga gasto para sa security sa SONA ang nagakadapat lang.
“With the security concerns, why would you have a shoestring budget for security when the government officials, dignitaries are there? We could end up a laughingstock if something happens. And so I agree with it.”
Una na nga ginrason ni House of Representatives Secretary General Reginald Velasco nga ang P20 million nga nga budget sa SONA ang ginpain para sa pagkaon sang tanan nga mga personnel lakip na ang internal staff, external personnel, kapulisan, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officers kag support staff.
Lakip man sa gingastuhan amo ang tanan nga preparatory activities, uniform sang 2,000 ka Secretariat employees, security expenses, gasto sa inter-agency coordination meetings sang mga departamento kag ahensya, invitations kag giveaways amo man ang equipment rental expenses, communication requirements kag medical support.
Ginpahayag ni Tulfo nga ang SONA ang indi lang isa ka adlaw nga event bangud mas malawig ang preparasyon para diri.
“We have to make sure that everybody will be safe. It is not only about the food, it is more on security, preparations, police and traffic personnel deployment. Same goes for the street sweepers. They have overtime pay too. And these personnel are already deployed in the area as early as Sunday.”
Gin-athag ni Tulfo nga ang seguridad ang indi bangud sa pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte nga indi siya makatambong sa SONA sa diin ginkilala sini ang iya kaugalingon bilang designated survivor.
Pahayag sini, wala ini sang labot sa security preparations bangud ini ang Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) na sa tanan nga SONA.
Ginpasigurado man ang mamalidha nga wala sang dapat nga kabalak-an sa seguridad sang presidente.
“Nobody was discouraged to attend because of her remarks. And I have trust how the security protocol of Congress operates. The public has nothing to worry about.”
