Nagpahanumdom si Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. sa mga katapo sang militar nga sundon ang chain command kag magpabilin nga propesyunal sa tunga sang nagasaka pa nga tensyon sa pulitika sa Pilipinas subong.
“Allow me to take this opportunity to remind our soldiers in the AFP to continue to be professional and competent,” kabahin sang speech ni Brawner sa paglunsar sang 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women.
“In the past days, we have seen a myriad of events that transpired in our country and this has shaken the political environment of our country. As soldiers, we should not be shaken by this,” dugang sini.
Ginapatuhuyan ni Brawner ang naga-init pa nga away sa tunga sang anay magka-tandem nga sanday President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kag Vice President Sara Duterte.
Isa sa pinakadaku nga statement nga nahambal ni Sara amo nga subject siya sang assassination plot, kag may ginmanduan siya nga pananglitan mapatay siya, patyon man si Marcos, ang first lady, kag ang house speaker.
Kaangot diri, nagpahayag si Brawner nga dapat nga dumdumon sang tropa ang ila sinumpaan nga depensahan ang Philippine Constitution.
“Sinabi natin we are loyal to our country, we are loyal to our flag, we are loyal to our organization and we are loyal to the Constitution. This also goes to say that we are loyal to the duly constituted authorities whoever that may be. Hindi po tayo loyal sa tao kundi sa posisyon,” pahayag sini.
Sa separado nga pahayag, ginplastar ni AFP spokesperson Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla nga, “Nananatili po kaming tapat sa aming mandato bilang taga-pagtanggol ng Constitution. Nagsisilbi rin po kami sa bayan sa ilalim ng Pangulo natin bilang Commander-in-Chief.”
“Nagbigay na po ng statement din ang ating Presidential Security Command that they are heightening their alerts. Standard procedure naman po ito just in case,” dugang sini.
Sang naglupok ang balita sang weekend, una naman nga nagpanawagan ang AFP sa publiko nga magkalma.
Sa bahin sang PNP, una naman nga ginsiling ni PNP chief General Rommel Marbil nga ginmanduan na sini ang Criminal Investigation and Detection Group nga imbestigaran ang nangin statement sang vice president.#
