Marcos Jr. signed into law the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025, marking a critical milestone in his administration’s push for economic growth and social development. The signing ceremony, held at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañan Palace, saw the passage of Republic Act (RA) No. 12116, which allocates a total of P6.326 trillion for government operations from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
The 2025 National Budget, carefully crafted and reviewed, is designed to align with the government’s priorities outlined in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028. President Marcos highlighted the strategic investments aimed at spurring economic development, enhancing social services, and addressing the nation’s immediate and long-term needs.
