Agri Party-list Representative Wilbert Lee has officially announced that he is stepping down from his bid for the 2025 Senate race.
Lee cited multiple reasons for his decision, with the most significant being the inability of his campaign machinery to adequately reach all Filipinos.
In his statement, Lee reassured the public that his health was not a factor in his decision to withdraw. “Wala po. Okay po ako.
Siguro meron lang po akong heartache ngayon,” Lee explained, addressing concerns about his well-being.
The withdrawal marks a dramatic change in Lee’s political trajectory, as he had previously expressed strong intentions to run for a Senate seat.
However, the challenges of mounting a nationwide campaign led to his decision to step back.
Rep. Lee emphasized that he remains dedicated to serving the Filipino people in his current role and will continue his work in the Agri Party-list.
