Nagpaandam si retired Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio sa publiko nga mag-andam gid sa pagboto sa mga kandidato nga makabig nga “pro-China.”
Suno kay Carpio, kun ma-eleher ini nga mga tawo sa pwesto, ang interes sang People’s Republic of China amo ang ila iduso kag itib-ong bangud nga may pondo nga ginahatag ang China sa ila.
Wala sang ginhingadlan si Carpio kun sin-o ang iya buot-silingon nga mga kandidato.
Apang dugang sini, mahimo nga ginagatungan pa gid sang Beijing ang mga disinformation sa social media para nga mas matunga pa gid ang publiko.
“This election is not purely about internal politics, about internal matters, because there is a country that wants to grab our maritime zones and island territories. So, we should be careful not to vote for Manchurian candidates, candidates who will do China’s bidding,” suno kay Carpio sa statement nga ginpaguwa sang Stratbase ADR Institute.
“They can come out with their own social media campaign,” dugang sini. “As we have seen in the past, recent past, that there have been candidates, who, when they won, were favoring China against our national interest.”
Nagpaandam man ang natungdan nga delikado ang West Philippine Sea pananglitan magdaog ang mga kandidato nga pro-China.
“Those who are pro-China, they [China] can give campaign funds to. That’s usually what other countries do if they want to destabilize a certain state. I expect China to do that… Once elected, they will say, the Philippines has no right to name the West Philippine Sea as West Philippine Sea,” dugang sini.
