Uppsala, Sweden – Three people were killed in a shooting incident that occurred inside a hair salon in Uppsala City, Sweden, on the eve of the Walpurgis Spring festival.
According to authorities, the suspect fled the scene quickly on a motorcycle after opening fire. Police have since cordoned off the area and temporarily halted train services in the region to prevent the suspect from escaping via public transportation.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. The incident has raised concerns as it occurred just before the Walpurgis festival, a traditional spring celebration that draws large numbers of tourists to the area.
