Barotac Viejo, Iloilo – A police patrol car that veered off the road and crashed in Barangay Natividad, Barotac Viejo, has been successfully retrieved using an excavator.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Susan Garcia, a resident of the area, shared that she was startled by a loud crash outside her home around 1:00 a.m. Despite the heavy rain, she stepped outside to investigate the noise and was shocked to find the patrol vehicle overturned at the side of the road.
According to Garcia, the patrol car had collided with an electric post before falling off the roadside, resulting in the post being completely snapped.
She immediately called the Barotac Viejo Municipal Police Station to report the incident and request assistance. Responders later used an excavator to lift the vehicle back onto the road.
Garcia also expressed concern over the frequency of similar incidents in the area, calling attention to the need for improved road safety measures.
