This recognition honors outstanding contributions in media guided by Christian values.

The CMMA was established in 1978 by the late Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin. It honors media institutions and practitioners who use communication to promote truth, uphold human dignity, and inspire social responsibility in line with the teachings of the Church.
