Ginhimo ang panawagan kay Dela Rosa paagi sa Senate Resolution 395 nga gin-file nanday former Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Senator Francis Pangilinan, Senator Bam Aquino, Senator Risa Hontiveros, kag Senator Panfilo Lacson.
Ginduso kay Dela Rosa nga magsungka sa nagakaigo nga judicial authorities kag magpangayo sang judicial remedies bilang pagsunod sa Constitution kag applicable laws.
Ginpahayag man sang resolution nga dapat nga sundon sang Senado ang commitment sini sa Constitution, rule of law, kag accountability sang public officials.
Ginpahayag man nila nga bisan nga protektado sang 1987 Constitution ang lawmakers kag indi pwede arestuhon samtang may session, limitado lamang ini nga pribilehiyo sa mga kaso nga may silot nga indi maglapaw sa anum ka tuig nga pagkapreso.
“Resolved further, that the Senate reiterates that it possesses no constitutional or statutory authority to provide ‘protective custody’ or sanctuary from lawful arrest, surrender, or judicial processes,” suno sa resolution.
“Whereas, Article VI, Section 11 of the Constitution provides only limited privilege from arrest for senators and members of the House of Representatives while Congress is in session, and only for offenses punishable by not more than six (6) years imprisonment, clearly indicating that no blanket immunity or protective custody exists for grave offenses or proceedings authorized under law,” dugang sini.
