Ginkumpirma ini sang Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) matapos nga insigida nga nakapyansa ang former senator sang P1-million sa kaso nga malversation.
Nakaangkon si Revilla sang temporaryo nga kahilwayan matapos nga gin-aprubahan sang Sandiganbayan Third Division ang iya petisyon para sa amo nga piyansa.
Ang kaso sini nga malversation ang naangot sa maanomaliya nga P92.8-million alleged ghost flood control project sa Pandi, Bulacan.
“Grant the bail application of accused Ramon Bautista ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jr. for failure of the prosecution to establish strong evidence of guilt, insofar as it pertains to the charge of malversation through falsification of public documents, during the bail hearings and in view of existing jurisprudence,” suno sa resolution sang Sandiganbayan.
“Order the provisional release of accused Ramon Bautista “Bong” Revilla, Jr. upon posting of a cash bond of Php1,000,000.00 in line with the ruling in Enrile v. Sandiganbayan (Third Division) unless he is being held for some other legal ground,” dugang sang korte.
Nag-abot si Revilla sa Sandiganbayan alas-4:41 sang hapon kaupod ang iya asawa nga si Cavite 2nd District Representative Lani Mercado. Nagguwa sila sa korte alas-4:58 sang hapon kag nagbalik anay sa New Quezon City Jail sa Payatas.
Sa ulihi, ginpaguwa na si Revilla halin sa detensyon pasado alas-6 sang gab-i suno kay Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera.
“The BJMP confirms that former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. was released from the Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory at 6:14 pm, July 31, 2026, by virtue of the release order issued by the Sandiganbayan Third Division after he posted the required bail in connection with his case,” suno kay Bustinera.
Nahibaluan nga denied ang bail application sang iya kaupod nga mga akusado nga mga opisyal sang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) nga sanday Brice Hernandez, Jaypee Mendoza, Arjay Domasig, Emelita Juat, Juanito Mendoza, kag Christina Pineda.
Matandaan nga sang Enero, ginpasaka kanday Revilla ang kaso nga graft kag malversation bangud sang alleged ghost project.
Pending ang kaso nga graft sa 4th Division sang Sandiganbayan samtang yara naman sa third division ang kaso nga malversation.#
