Gindepensahan naman ni Senator-Judge Alan Peter Cayetano ang pagtindog ni Senator-Judge Robin Padilla sa impeachment court agud nga klaruhon nga nakapasa na siya sang iya counter-affidavit sa Ombudsman kaangot sa reklamo nga nagbulig siya agud magpalagyo si Senator Bato dela Rosa.
Natabo ang pagdepensa ni Cayetano matapos nagpanawagan si Senator-Judge Erwin Tulfo sa iya mga kaupdanan nga indi pag-gamiton ang impeachment trial para sa personal nga mga isyu.
Suno kay Cayetano, nalipay siya nga nakita niya nga nagakabalaka si Tulfo sa hustisya para kay Vice President Sara Duterte. Apang, ginpabutyag man niya nga mabudlay ipahangup ang teknikal nga mga isyu sa layi sa mga wala sang legal nga eksperyensya.
“I’m happy I finally heard Senator-judge Erwin Tulfo is concerned about the justice or injustice to Vice President Sara, that’s good news. Regarding the waste of time here, sabi ni (as said by) Senator Joker Arroyo, ‘it is useless to argue a legal point with a non-lawyer’,” suno sa senator-judge.
Dugang pa ni Cayetano, ang Senate Impeachment Court ginalakipan sang mga abogado kag indi abogado, pero pareho lang ang ila katungdanan bilang senator-judges.
“The impeachment court is formed with lawyers and non-lawyers, and we interact — and it’s for everyone, and we’re equal. But if there’s an engineer here or a doctor, and they talk about medical principles, I have to either study and argue on medical principles. I cannot simply say that this is how it works, you just use logic, et cetera, right?” dugang sini.
Ginpaathag man ni Cayetano nga ang integridad sang korte kag sang mga nagahukom importante sa bisan ano nga kaso, gani may lugar ang pahayag ni Robin Padilla sa impeachment court.
Suno sa senador, kon ang mga hukom ukon miyembro sang korte ginakuwestiyon ukon gina-akuran sang alegasyon, kinahanglan man nga hatagan sila sang kahigayunan nga magsabat agud maprotektahan ang kredibilidad sang korte.
Ginpabutyag man ni Cayetano nga wala niya ginplano nga istoryahan ang iya personal nga mga isyu, pero nagapati siya nga husto lang ang ginhimo ni Padilla nga magklaro bangud naglapta ang balita nga wala ini nagsunod sa mando sang Office of the Ombudsman.
“So our legal principle today is simple: integrity of the court. So allow me to mention that to the people and help educate my colleague here. The integrity of the court and the justices or judges is always relevant,” suno sa iya. “So if the Supreme Court or Comelec, Court of Tax Appeals, Sandiganbayan is being heard, and the judges are being threatened, you give them time. So we cannot take the impeachment out of context.”
Nagsal-ot naman si Senator-judge Tito Sotto kag nagduso nga i-refer sa Senate proper ang manifestations sang mga senator-judges nga wala sang labot sa impeachment trial.
Sa desisyon naman ni Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero, ipabilin sa record ang manifestation ni Padilla, apang diskusyunan nila ang isyu kun magbukas na liwat ang regular session.#
