𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – Two students from St. Paul University Iloilo received praise, especially from animal welfare advocates, after rescuing a dog that had fallen into a canal at G Park, Phase 2, Benigno Aquino Ave, Diversion Rd, Cubix Park, Iloilo City.

The rescuers were identified as Lemuel Magrare, 21, a resident of Lapuz Norte, Iloilo City, studying Special Needs Education, and Chex Quentin Pardilla, 23, from Concepcion-Montes, Iloilo City Proper, taking up BS Biology.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Magrare stated that the dog had been in the canal for nearly 20 minutes and was already weak. Without hesitation, he and Pardilla worked together to save the struggling animal.

Magrare expressed joy in receiving positive comments about their act, while Pardilla emphasized that although they were just ordinary people, their small act of kindness made a big impact on the community, particularly in advocating for animal welfare.

The students hope their actions serve as an inspiration to young people, encouraging them to be compassionate towards animals. They also called on the public to show love and care for all creatures.
