Ang mensahe sang presidente ang kadungan sang selebrasyon sang Day of the Seafarer.
“Over the centuries, our seafarers have explored all horizons to provide food, produce energy and build the foundation of our nation’s progress. The courage and resilience that you demonstrate despite all the adversities and challenges that come your way show that the centuries-long tradition of Filipino seafaring remains strong and still drives each and every one of you today,” kabahin sang mensahe sang presidente.
Bilang balos sang administrasyon, nagpasalig man si Marcos sang suporta sa maritime industry agud maprotektahan kag mapabilin ang kalidad sang mga Pinoy workers nga kilala sa bug-os nga kalibutan.
Kun matandaan, sang Disyembre, nag-anunsyo ang European Maritime Safety Agency nga napaslawan ang maritime industry sang Pilipinas nga maka-guarantee nga na-meet ang requirements sa Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers convention.
Sang nagligad lang nga Abril, sunod man nga nag-anunsyo ang executive arm sang European Union nga padayunon sini ang pagkilalala sa certificates nga gina-isyu sa seafarers bangud sang pagpaninguha sang pungsod nga maka-comply sa requirements.#
