Nagpasalig si President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. nga mas mangin bukas kag mas accessible ini sa media.
Kadungan ini sang iya panawagan sa journalists nga tapnaon ang paglapta sang “fake news” kag misinformation.
Ginpahayag ini sang presidente sa Malacañang sang gina-paathag sini ang importansya sang “symbiotic” ukon interdependent relationship sa tunga sang gobyerno kag media.
Pahayag sini, indi maobra sang gobyerno ang ila trabaho kun wala sang media bangud ang journalists ang nagaplastar sang mga bagay nga ila posible mapalampas kun kaisa kag mga bagay nga wala pa nila napaminsaran sang maayo.
“In government, we could not do our jobs if you’re not there. And I think that goes both ways,” suno sa president.
“At times, there are things you bring up to us na baka hindi namin nakita, o baka hindi namin naramdaman, o baka hindi namin napag-isipan, and we should be looking at it,” dugang sini.
Ginplastar sini ang intension nga mag-“evolve” sa dynamics sa tunga sang gobyerno kag media paagi sa pagtindog bilang mas transparent sa decision-making processes sa mga isyu kag polisa sang administrasyon.
“Sometimes, and I will admit to this, there is a tendency for us to try and structure the releases, the news and the opinions or the responses very, very closely. And that’s because we don’t want to get it wrong. However, I think there still a space for us to be a little bit less structured,” suno kay Marcos.
“Let’s start in the new year, we’ll try to make things less structured and I’ll make myself more accessible to you,” dugang sini.
Luyag man sang presidente nga mas mangin engaged ang publiko bangud bukas man ang gobyerno — pareho sa suporta kag sa kritisismo.
“Because there are so many times — believe me it works both ways — I read the newspaper, I watch the television, I look on social media and there are many times gusto kong sagutin kasi may sagot naman, may magandang sagot diyan pero hindi, kasi kailangan it has to be part of this, you know, we have to attend to other issues. But I think there is space, there is sufficient space,” pahayag sini.
“Matalino ang Pilipino e, and sometimes we, I feel, ‘yung mga Pinoy wise yan e, advanced tayo. And we shouldn’t underestimate the understanding of an ordinary citizen. They understand more than we think,” dugang pa ni Marcos.#
