𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – A fire that broke out in the Rizal Lapuz Sur area has resulted in P1.2 million worth of property damages.

Fire Officer 2 Earl Anthony Darroca, a Fire and Arson Investigator from the Iloilo City Fire Station, revealed that a total of 18 properties were affected, with 16 partially burned and 2 completely destroyed.

The fire reportedly started on the second floor of a house owned by Andre Goco, caused by an electrical issue.

In the aftermath, those displaced by the fire were temporarily sheltered at Jalandoni Memorial Elementary School.

Unfortunately, the fire claimed the life of a 68-year-old bedridden woman, Susan Aycona, who was trapped inside her home.

Her body was discovered after the fire was brought under control.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, as the community rallies to support the victims of the disaster.
