A Filipino nurse has brought honor to the Philippines after receiving a prestigious recognition in the United Kingdom.

Darvey Clint Gario, a native of Valderrama, Antique, and a graduate of West Visayas State University College of Nursing in 2014, was awarded the National Health Service (NHS) England Chief Nursing Officer Silver Award for Outstanding Service to Nursing.

Currently working as a Cardiac Charge Nurse at The Harley Street Clinic, a world-renowned private hospital in the UK specializing in cancer care, cardiology, and complex surgeries, Gario has been a dedicated nurse in England for over seven years.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Gario expressed his gratitude for the award and emphasized that it was a significant milestone in his career. He mentioned that he has been with The Harley Street Clinic for three years, where he credits much of his success.

“I am truly grateful for this recognition,” Gario said. “It is an honor not only for me but also for the Philippines and my fellow healthcare workers who continue to serve with dedication.”

Gario’s achievement highlights the outstanding contributions of Filipino healthcare professionals abroad and serves as an inspiration to many aspiring nurses in the country.
