The family of a man found dead inside the gymnasium of Barangay Gua-an, Leganes, Iloilo, is convinced that there was no foul play involved in his death.
The victim was identified as Joel Caturas, 36, a resident of Barangay Guinobatan, Leganes, who lived with his partner.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Patrolman Jomar Nerios, an investigator from the Leganes Municipal Police Station, stated that the victim’s family believes there was no reason for anyone to harm him, as he had no known enemies in the area.
Authorities also found no signs of injuries on the victim’s body when he was discovered.
According to Nerios, Caturas had been drinking alcoholic beverages at a store beside the gymnasium the day before his death. He was last seen lying down inside the gym, where his lifeless body was later found.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
