DAVAO CITY – Authorities have arrested one of the suspects involved in a daring daylight robbery-holdup at a pawnshop on Ilustre Street.
The suspect, identified as Jonny Dejito Bulawan from Albuera, Leyte, was apprehended at Bankerohan Public Market in Barangay 6-A on the morning of February 26.
During the arrest, police recovered an M16 rifle with ammunition, a 9mm Trooper pistol, a motorcycle used as the getaway vehicle, and a bag containing jewelry worth an estimated P100 million.
According to a witness, two suspects were seen during the robbery, with one carrying a high-powered firearm.
Authorities have launched a hot-pursuit operation to track down the remaining suspects, who were last seen escaping on a motorcycle.
Police continue their investigation to identify and capture all those involved in the heist.
