𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – The Grand Opening Salvo of the Dinagyang Festival 2025 was a resounding success this afternoon, marking the official start of the much-anticipated celebration.
Eight tribes participated in the Dinagyang Ati Tribes competition, performing at four designated judging areas.
The tribes that took part are:

Tribu Salognon of Jaro National High School
Tribu Parianon of the District of Molo
Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School
Tribu Pag-Asa Kang Manduryaw of the District of Mandurriao
Tribu Hangaway of Graciano Lopez Jaena Elementary School
Tribu Molave of Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao
Tribu Pan-Ay of Fort San Pedro National High School
In his message, read by Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas welcomed everyone and invited them to join in the festivities of the Dinagyang Festival.
Vice Mayor Ganzon officially declared the opening of the Dinagyang Festival 2025.
This year’s edition carries the theme “Buhi nga Pagtuo sa Kinabuhi sang mga Ilonggo,” emphasizing the vibrant faith and life of the Ilonggo people.
The event is expected to bring a wave of excitement and pride as people from all walks of life gather to celebrate the rich culture and tradition of the region.
