MANILA, Philippines – A U.S. Department of Defense-contracted aircraft crashed in Maguindanao del Sur on February 6, 2025, while performing a routine mission to support U.S.-Philippine security cooperation.
The aircraft was providing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) support at the request of the Philippine government when the tragic incident occurred.
There were four personnel on board, including one U.S. military service member and three defense contractors.
Sadly, all four individuals were confirmed dead.
The identities of the crew members are being withheld as authorities await next of kin notification.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command has stated that no additional details will be released until further information becomes available.
