Nag-file ang PDP-Laban sang petisyon sa Supreme Court nga nagapangabay para sa manual recount sang senatorial votes sa 2025 elections.
Ang petisyon ang gin-file sang partido nga gintiglawas sang National Vice Chairman nga si Alfonso Cusi.
Yari ang nasiling sa petisyon:
“Whether such manual counting or recount be partial, targeted, or nationwide, petitioners humbly leave the same to the sound discretion of his Honorable Court, with due regard to the extent of necessity, efficiency, and economy or cost-effectiveness in implementing the pertinent election laws.”
Ginsiling sang partido nga nagpanawagan sila sang recount base sa Republic Act No. 9369 ukon ang Automated Election System Act kag Republic Act and Batas Pambansa Blg. 881 ukon ang Omnibus Election Code.
Gintumod sang PDP-Laban ang Section 31 sang RA No. 9369 nga naga-mandate sang traditional manual counting of votes agud masiguro ang free, honest kag credible elections.
Pila sa ginhalimbawa nga irregularidad amo ang pagka-diskubre sa equipment pareho sang Starlink transmission devices kag solar panels sa isa ka private residence sa Brgy. Buhangin, Davao City, nga naga-highlight sang “potential conflict of interest.”
