𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – Three individuals involved in the theft of cellphones and wallets during the Dinagyang Festival 2025 in Iloilo City have yet to post bail, as legal proceedings continue.

The suspects, a live-in couple identified as aliases Maricar and Alog, along with their financier alias Kevin, and a minor companion, are all residents of Tondo, Manila.

They were apprehended after being caught stealing during the festival.

According to Police Captain Ryan Christ Inot, head of Iloilo City Police Station 4, the lawyer representing the suspects arrived in Iloilo City on January 30.

However, as of now, the legal paperwork for the accused has not been completed.

Inot speculated that the suspects might be part of an organized group, which could explain how they were able to hire a private attorney to represent them.

The thieves face multiple charges, including violations of Presidential Decree 1612, or the Anti-Fencing Law, and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities found illegal drugs in their possession at the time of their arrest.

The Iloilo City Police are continuing their search for the remaining four members of the group.
