Senator Imee Marcos revealed that the private plane with tail number RP-C5219, which was chartered by the government to fly former President Rodrigo Duterte to The Hague, Netherlands, during his International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest, was the same aircraft used by her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., on one of his recent trips to Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

However, Sen. Marcos admitted that she was unable to obtain clarity on how this arrangement came to be, as representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and other relevant government agencies failed to attend the inquiry.

Meanwhile, Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa suggested that the aircraft in question may have been one of the planes used by former President Duterte for his official trips during his administration.

Authorities have yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
